The National Register of Historic Places is run by the National Park Services and is considered the official listing of our nation's historic places worthy of preservation.
Here in Prescott, we have twelve districts which are included on the National Register of Historic Places:
Note: Just because a home is located in a historic district, does NOT mean that home is necessarily a listed property. It may have historic value but may not have been submitted for consideration to be listed individually. And that can be done at any time, providing that the home still has relevant historic features.
